Overview: Java Moss (Taxiphyllum barbieri), also known by its synonym Vesicularia dubyana, is one of the most popular and beginner-friendly aquatic plants in the aquarium hobby. Native to Southeast Asia, this hardy moss thrives in a wide range of conditions, making it an ideal choice for aquascaping. Its ability to attach to driftwood, stones, or decor adds a natural and lush aesthetic to any tank.

Java Moss is an excellent plant for both beginner and advanced aquarists due to its easy care requirements and ability to grow without CO2 or nutrient-rich substrate. It can grow fully submerged or partially emerged, offering great flexibility in tank setups.

Care Information: Java Moss is easy to care for and does not require high-intensity light or additional CO2. It grows at a medium pace and may need occasional trimming to maintain its shape. This plant can also absorb excess nutrients, helping maintain water quality.

Note: The Java Moss is gathered from my tropical fish/snail tanks, and while we strive to remove them, it may contain traces of snails or duckweed.
