Cardinal tetras (Paracheirodon axelrodi) - Large Size

$4.99

Overview:
Cardinal tetras (Paracheirodon axelrodi) are vibrant schooling fish known for their brilliant blue and red stripes, making them a stunning addition to freshwater aquariums. These fish are native to slow-moving rivers and streams in the Amazon Basin, where they thrive in soft, acidic water. In aquariums, they require stable water conditions and benefit from being kept in schools of at least six or more, which reduces stress and allows them to display natural behaviors.

With their peaceful nature, cardinal tetras are ideal for community tanks, but they should only be housed with other non-aggressive species. Their care is relatively straightforward, though they are best suited for slightly experienced aquarists due to their sensitivity to water changes.
