*RARE* Orange Eyes (OE) Fire Red Neocaridina Shrimp / Mid Grade Red Demon - Limited Quantity Crevette

from $39.99

Common Name:

OE Fire Red Neocaridina Shrimp / Orange-Eyed Fire Red / Mid Grade Red Demon

Scientific Name:

Neocaridina heteropoda var.

Size:

Max Size: 2 – 2.5 cm (0.8 – 1 inch)
Juvenile Size: 1.27– 2.5cm (0.5 - 0.8inch)

Description:

🦐 Orange Eye Fire Red Neocaridina Shrimp – Rare German Line

Introducing the true Orange Eye Fire Red Neocaridina—sometimes called “Red Demons” due to their intense coloration and striking orange eyes. These are not your typical yellow-eye or hollow-eye variants. These shrimp descend from the original Michael Häsler line in Germany, carrying the rare authentic orange eye gene—a trait nearly impossible to find in Neocaridina.

✨ Why they stand out:

  • 🔥 Vivid fire red body with glowing orange eyes (not Caridina!)

  • 🇨🇦 Extremely rare in Canada—only a few breeders have them

  • 🧬 100% of the juveniles have orange eyes and also carry the Orange Eye gene

  • 🐣 Breed them with other OE to get 100% orange-eyed offspring!

💡 Just as easy to keep as regular cherry shrimp—no special care required. Same food, same water, same hardiness.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

🦐 Are your shrimp safe for beginners?

Yes! Many of our shrimp species—especially Neocaridina like Cherry Shrimp—are great for beginners due to their hardiness. For Caridina shrimp, we recommend stable parameters and soft water setups.

📦 Do you offer a live arrival guarantee?

Yes, we offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on all shrimp orders. If your shrimp arrive dead, just send us clear photos within 2 hours of delivery and we’ll issue a refund or replacement. (Depending on the shipping method either 50% or 100% will be refunded)

🌡️ Do you include heat packs during winter?

Yes! If weather falls below 15C we strongly suggest adding one from our store. We also monitor weather forecasts and may delay your order if temperatures are too extreme for safe delivery.

🇨🇦 Do you import your shrimp or breed them in Canada?

We do both. We breed select lines locally here in Canada and also import from trusted international farms. All imported shrimp are quarantined for 1–2 months before being listed for sale. This ensures they're fully adjusted, healthy, and hardy for your aquarium.

🧼 Are the shrimp quarantined or treated before shipping?

Yes. Whether imported or locally bred, all shrimp are quarantined for a minimum of 1–2 months. We monitor for parasites, stress, molting, and coloration to ensure only the healthiest shrimp are sent to you.

🚚 How long does shipping take within Canada?

We ship from Quebec using trusted carriers. Most orders arrive within 1–2 business days, depending on your location. Tracking info will be emailed once your order is shipped.

💧 How should I acclimate my shrimp after delivery?

We recommend using the drip acclimation method over 1–2 hours to gradually adjust your shrimp to your tank's parameters. A step-by-step guide is included with every order.
