Canada Shrimps Online Shop Skittles Pack - 10 Neocaridina Shrimp / Crevette

Skittles Pack - 10 Neocaridina Shrimp / Crevette

$49.99

A Skittles Shrimp Tank is a vibrant aquarium brimming with an array of Neocaridina shrimp varieties, showcasing a dazzling spectrum of colors reminiscent of a bag of Skittles candy. This assortment features a delightful mix, including Red Cherry, Blue Velvet, Blue Dream, Blue Jelly, Snowball, Yellow, Orange Sakura, and Green Jade shrimp, Rili’s etc (specific varieties sent will depend on current stock).

This option is ideal for those who appreciate colorful shrimp but are flexible about specific hues while still wanting quality specimens. However, keep in mind that the enchanting color mix may lead to interbreeding among different varieties, resulting in offspring that could develop more subdued or wild-type brown coloration over time. To preserve the vibrant diversity, careful breeding management or the periodic introduction of pure lines might be necessary.

Note that no more than three shrimp of the same color will be selected per pack of 10. These are not cull shrimp; rather, they are leftovers of certain colors which are running low.

Scientific Name: Neocaridina Heteropoda Var.
Maximum Size: 2 – 2.5 cm or 0.8 – 1 inch

Tank Parameters:
pH: 6.6-7.6
gH: 6-15
kH: 1-8
TDS: 150-300

Temperature: 18-25°C or 64 – 78°F
Temperament: Omnivore/Non-aggressive
Breeding: Extremely Easy
Difficulty: Extremely Easy

Note: All pictures shown are for illustration purposes only. Actual shrimp may vary due to natural variation with livestock. Due to stress of shipment, shrimp will lose color and appear duller than usual. The colors will come back after acclimating and adjusting.

Mixed of Juvenile and Adults would be sent.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

🦐 Are your shrimp safe for beginners?

Yes! Many of our shrimp species—especially Neocaridina like Cherry Shrimp—are great for beginners due to their hardiness. For Caridina shrimp, we recommend stable parameters and soft water setups.

📦 Do you offer a live arrival guarantee?

Yes, we offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on all shrimp orders. If your shrimp arrive dead, just send us clear photos within 2 hours of delivery and we’ll issue a refund or replacement. (Depending on the shipping method either 50% or 100% will be refunded)

🌡️ Do you include heat packs during winter?

Yes! If weather falls below 15C we strongly suggest adding one from our store. We also monitor weather forecasts and may delay your order if temperatures are too extreme for safe delivery.

🇨🇦 Do you import your shrimp or breed them in Canada?

We do both. We breed select lines locally here in Canada and also import from trusted international farms. All imported shrimp are quarantined for 1–2 months before being listed for sale. This ensures they're fully adjusted, healthy, and hardy for your aquarium.

🧼 Are the shrimp quarantined or treated before shipping?

Yes. Whether imported or locally bred, all shrimp are quarantined for a minimum of 1–2 months. We monitor for parasites, stress, molting, and coloration to ensure only the healthiest shrimp are sent to you.

🚚 How long does shipping take within Canada?

We ship from Quebec using trusted carriers. Most orders arrive within 1–2 business days, depending on your location. Tracking info will be emailed once your order is shipped.

💧 How should I acclimate my shrimp after delivery?

We recommend using the drip acclimation method over 1–2 hours to gradually adjust your shrimp to your tank's parameters. A step-by-step guide is included with every order.
